The Youth Committee was founded in March 2008 in Berlin
The main focus of the committee work is to bring together youngsters from our institutions who are directly dealing with young people. This will give them the possibility to meet and discuss new approaches on how to attract young people all over Europe to get more involved into European issues.
The Youth Committee is
- a ‘danger-free’ zone where we can experiment/create projects
- a european network – european partners to make projects with and exchange of good practise
- a fun and bubbly atmosphere for non-formal education
- young people talking to young people
- a group where you can share your ideas (even the craziest ones!) about Europe
The best way to do so is “from young people for young people”. Therefore the participation in this committee is limited to people under the age of 35.
Sanna Eliasson and Julie Gratz were appointed by the Youth Committee to be responsible for the cooperation with the network.

Training Course “Teaching Solidarity”
Migration, Drama Games and Evaluation
From April 10th to April 14th 2016, the EUNET Youth Committee organised a training course at Gläntan in the county of Gävleborg in Sweden.
The training course provided new insights into recent educational developments and met the needs of young professional educators busy in the field of European Youth Education.
Training seminar topics dealt with the refugee crisis, which is currently testing the EUs core values (solidarity, unity, diversity). All methods were designed to activate the participants. The methodical repertoire was orientated on the target group and should support the engagement with the topic. The aim was that participants will do many things by themselves and that they try things out.

In September 2010 the EUNET Youth Committee consists of 3 active and 2 passive members. In order to work in a constructive and “European” way, as it is the standard of EUNET, we are looking forward to enlarge the number of participants of the committee.
Since the last General Assembly back in 2009 we received only one application. That is why we call again upon all Eunet members:
If you have young employees, eager to get involved in european youth work, do not hesitate calling
Christian Höfer (EANRW) : Mail: \n hoefer@eanrw.eu / Tel : +49(0)228-949301-22
